There was something for everyone here and I thought the £7.50 entry fee was worth every penny.It was good to see Oliver Cromwell again - my first encounter and photo since August 1968! I have uploaded most of the modern image shots plus a few steam. I wonder how many people missed D2860 .. and where on earth was the Bulleid Q class ?? I didnt see it ! Harry Needle's orange 37 was in - the very one damaged at Barrow Hill. The steel blue 56 aka 56201 was still lurking inside in a place near impossible for photting ! This was a legitimate visit but note the photographs may not be published in any magazine or on any website. Many thanks to Don Chapman - this was likely my last visit. Due to engineering works there drags from Liverpool and Preston into Stockport and the southbound services were terminating at Northampton.. It was a busy time at Stockport station as it was the scene of most loco changes.
